WINTER STORM WARNING: Low temperatures expected in most areas of Kazakhstan

KazHydroMet has declared a storm warning. on January 4-6 sharp drop of temperature is expected in Kostanai, Aktobe, Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Karaganda. On January 5-6 simialr severe weather conditions are expected in the East Kazakhstan regions: at night the temperature is expected to drop down to 30-35C, in some areas to -38C, during the day the temperature will drop down to 23-28C, sometimes - 31C.

On January 5-6 in Kyzylorda region the temperature at night will drop down to 20-25C, in some areas to -30C, the day temperature is expected to drop down to  -15-20C, in somne areas to -23C below zero.

On January 5-6 in Almaty, Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan regions the temperature during the night is expected to be -15-20C, and -25C, during the day: -10-15C, in some areas -18C below zero.

In Atyrau the temperature during January 5-7 is expected to be – 9-11C with variable cloud and light snow during the night.
