Solo concert of choreographic Astana Ballet successfully held in Shanghai

On the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in China the choreographic «Astana Ballet» staged a solo concert in Shanghai.

Young artists showed a concert program to the residents and guests of the Chinese city, which included dances of the peoples of the world: Kazakh, Malaysian, Indian, Korean, Turkish, Chinese, and classical and neoclassical ballet. They are filled with dance, and set to the music of the masterpieces of world classics - " Scheherazada" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, "Seven Beauties" of Kara Karaev and "Polovtsian Dances" by Alexander Borodin.

Graceful ballerinas of dance group from «Astana Ballet» did not leave anyone indifferent, the full house audience watched them with thunderous applause. The highlight of the presentation was exquisite Chinese folk dance named "Tao Yao".

Professor of the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Languages ​​Yang Bo after the show shared his experiences. "I 've never been to Kazakhstan, but now I am excited by the direct contact with the Kazakh culture. I was struck by the richness and variety of dance numbers, high choreographic art of the young actresses. They are all young girls, but their energetic and emotional performances have surpassed all expectations", she said.

According to Yang Bo, one of the features of this concert was the inclusion of a dance with oriental elements. Selection of traditional Chinese dance called "Tao Yao" is not accidental, since this work is included in the Shijing ("Book of Changes"), an ancient monument of the Chinese culture, and there is a deep meaning to demonstrate the most friendly and cordial relations with China", she stated.

Deputy director of the Shanghai Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Xiaoshu Wang stressed that the audience was shown a beautiful performance, and the young ballerina «Astana Ballet» demonstrated a high level. "I think «Astana Ballet » will achieve great success and will go to the world level. This is the first tour of the Kazakhstan Ballet in Shanghai. We are waiting for the re-arrival to attend the Shanghai International Arts Festival, which will contribute to the development of cultural relations between Kazakhstan and China", said the Chinese official.

Creative tour of «Astana Ballet» was held in the framework of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in China from 5 to 11 November in the largest cultural centers in Beijing and Shanghai.
