Kazakhstan hopes that agreements on establishing a joint uranium enrichment center will be fully implemented, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov announced in Astana at a meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"We have a large block of cooperation on nuclear energy and there are aspirations to work together throughout the fuel cycle based with the Ultbinskiy metallurgical plant's capacity. There is also an agreement for establishment of a common center for uranium enrichment. We hope that these arrangements will be fully implemented", said Idrissov.
