New rules on keeping pets accepted by the Maslikhat in southern Kazakhstan. According to them it is prohibited to have more than two pets in one apartment. Violators will be punished via administrative penalties.
In addition, pet owners now have to notify neighbors about their charges, make sure that none of the neighbors have allergies, and to attach a sign warning of animal presence to an entrance door of apartment or house.
However, residents of the regional center have already criticized the new rules. Townspeople say that there is no place in Shymkent for walking out animals.
