Russia starts ballistic missile on Kazakhstan border

From the Dombarov position area of the Russian Federation, the start of the intercontinental RS-20 ballistic missile with the Kompsat-5 spacecraft is carried out, the press service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

"Start is carried out on August 22, 2013 in 8.39 pm, Astana time. Flight of the rocket took place according to the regular program. For elimination of the possible consequences connected with start, rescue forces and means of emergency departments of the Aktyubinsk and Mangistau region were in a mode of the increased readiness," the message read.
