Head-on collision on bridge, young woman dies

Photo of eyewitness24-year old passenger woman died last night after a wrong-way driver caused an accident on the city central bridge. The accident took place on the European side of the bridge (from the side of Abai Square) at 22:10hrs.

24-year old driver of Toyota Hilux pickup went in the wrong way and caused head-on collision with Toyota Highlander. Young woman, the passenger of pickup car, was hospitalized, but soon died in the oblast hospital intensive care unit. Another passenger and pickup car driver were hospitalized into the traumatological unit of the oblast hospital. Police has undertaken an investigation into the accident.
