Governor meets Serbian ambassador

July 4, the akim of Atyrau Oblast Baktykozha Izmukhambetov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to Kazakhstan Vladimir Mircovic and representatives of Serbian Poljostroj company Gordana Stanimirovic and Pavel Sudors. 

Mr Ambassador told his country exercises visaless regime and a free trade agreement. On January 1, Serbia joins the European Union.

Mr Sudors said among key sectors of Serbian economy are agriculture and related machinery manufacturing. 

Poljostroj is prepared to deliver equipment to the goat milk farm currently under construction in the village of Saraishyk.

Serbians also offered to establish production of farm machinery in Atyrau.

After the meeting, we spoke to local entrepreneur Vladimir Rozmetov. He says the construction of a goat milk plant has started a week ago. A joint venture between Social and Business Corporation Atyrau [49%] and the Rozmetov peasant holding has the value of 430 million tenge and will be commissioned in forthcoming December. 

According to the businessman, in October 300 goats of Alpine breed will be brought here from Slovenia, which will be giving up to 8 liters of milk a day.
