Atyrau delegation visits Berlin

April 9, a delegation of Atyrau government officials and entrepreneurs under the leadership of Deputy Governor Goumar Duisembayev departed for Germany. 

The target of the trip is to complete agreements to cooperate reached last year between Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The official bit of the visit began April 10 in Berlin with the Kazakh-German Day of Economy, dedicated to economic and investment potential of Atyrau Oblast.

After meeting German business people several bipartite economic agreements were signed: between oblast akimat and Greenfortis GmbH on cooperation in developing green technologies; between oblast akimat, Samruk-Green Energy and KD Stahl und Maschinenbau on creation of a joint venture to produce smallscale vertical wind power units; between EkoService LLP and WS Energy GmbH to deliver newest technologies of oil contamination response.

Over the course of the trip, guests from Atyrau will also visit Germany's industrial centers - Hannover and Hamburg.
