Spray can explosion in Atyrau caused panic among public

In the evening of February 6, two strong blasts in a trash bin [on photo] made the people living at 40 Tovarischeskaya street in Atyrau shiver.

A woman, the owner of a nearby grocery, said it sounded like a heavy door slamming.

After a call to police, investigation team and Arlan special unit arrived at the scene.

The site was cordoned off.

As it turned someone had set fire to rubbish in the bin, after what two strong blasts and flame ejaculation developed.

Bomb technicians found no trace of explosives at the place.

Police presumes it might have been just empty deodorant cans.
