​Oil industry workers received State Prize

On December 14, in "Akorda" residence, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev awarded Kurmangazy Iskaziev, the First Deputy CEO of Embamunaigaz, the CEO of KazMunaiGas Exploration and Production, the Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences with the State Prize for a Cycle of works on the subject: "Scientific justification of the hydrocarbonic potential of Kazakhstan".

This Prize is awarded every two years and is the highest recognition of merits of scientists before the society and the state.

Among other winners of the State Prize for a cycle of works on the subject: "Scientific Justification of Hydrocarbonic Potential of Kazakhstan" were prominent oil geologists of Kazakhstan: Ural Akchulakov, Hero Zholtaev, Pyotr Kovrizhnykh, Baltabek Kuandykov and Evgeny Ogai.

It is remarkable that last time the Kazakhstan oil industry workers received State Prize in 1980s in the last century for discovering Tengiz oil field.

The materials of the researches conducted within the framework of "Scientific justification of hydrocarbonic potential of Kazakhstan" were used for justification of the unique innovative “Eurasia" project and included into a state program for studying subsoil reserves for 2014-2019 and until the period till 2030.
