About 10,000 prisoners will finish serving their sentences in 2015 in the Kazakhstani jails, said Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Zhakip Asanov during the second forum on prison reforms "Employment in Colonies 2017" held on December 12, akipress.org reports.

He told about the challenges in finding job after prison and noted the Roadmap Employment 2020 national campaign does not include the prisoners. “Although they, too, could be a target group of this program,” he said.

He also said 1/10 prisoners has no education, 3/10 have no degrees, and those with degrees face challenges in finding jobs after getting released from jail.
