Kazakhstan celebrates December 1 the Day of the First President

The day has been declared national holiday in Kazakhstan on 10 December 2011 as the upper house of the Parliament adopted the relevant changes to law on holidays in Kazakhstan, azh.kz reports.

Nursultan Nazarbayev is the first and so far the only President-elect, the winner of the very first elections in Kazakhstan.
