The Astrakhan shipbuilding enterprise, a member of Kaspiskaya Energiya group of companies, has completed building two of five tow boats ordered by OMS Shipping LLP for use in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea, writes lada.kz.
"These 880kWR powerful vessels are designated for towing non-propelled 4,000 ton barges with a speed of up to 5 knots, moving ships in ports, mooring vessels in harbours and using in rescue operations in the Caspian Sea. Another three tow boats will be set afloat next May," reads the announcement of Kaspiskaya Energiya's media service.
