Mesh fencing installed up to the river near the state residence building hinders the Atyraulians to go for evening walks and access from one part of the city to another along the river embankment. The Governor explains that inconvenience was caused due to safety requirements, including the safety of top state officials. Should the authorities seek for compromise solution - for e.g. block the river embankment only during visits of the high guest?

National Security Committee’s task force on May 14 detained Y. Golyshkin, the editor of Pavlodar newspaper "Versiya". On May 16, court sanctioned his arrest for 2 months. It appeared he did his own investigation of rape circumstances that took place in Governor's state residence, where Governor’s son appears as witness. The journalist, famous for his critiques, was arrested on suspicion in blackmailing and extortion of money from Governor. Could it be a special-order revenge of regional administration?
