20 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed at Tengiz, 944 in Atyrau in total

Over the past day, 21 new cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in the region, the operational headquarters reports.

20 workers from the Tengiz field are among the infected, infection was detected by mandatory screening in 16 men and 4 women.

“Another sick person is a resident of the Qurmanghazy district born in 1972, who was in contact with the previously infected person,” the headquarters said.

All patients are hospitalized in infectious diseases hospital, according to the algorithm, treatment is carried out. The foci of infection and the circle of contact persons are identified.

To date, the number of cases of COVID-19  in the region is 944 people. The number of people recovered is 236.
