Kazakhstan may impose ban on fuel import from Russia

The Ministry of Energy has prepared an order imposing conventional 45 days ban for fuel import from Russia, reports kapital.kz.

"According to the documents, available for kapital.kz, the Ministry of Energy has prepared an order "On some issues of oil products delivery from Russia", according to the order 45 days conventional ban on fuel import from Russia will be imposed. The ban" is aimed to provide energy security connected with possible shutdown of big oil refinery plants due to surplus of oil products delivered from Russia," reads the message.
The ban is supposed to be empowered in the first decade of March.
