By the end of the year the office of the North Caspian project operator - NCOC has scheduled to move from Astana to Atyrau.

- The move is dictated by the new operational model of management that the participants of the North Caspian project have transferred to. It requires the management staff and experts to be closer to the place of Kashagan field development, - explained NCOC rep.

The information  that the Consortium participants agreed to transfer to the unified consolidated company was circulated in June.

It was proposed that the new joint company  will be called the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC).

It was reported then that the majority of personnel of the unified consolidated company will be based in Atyrau. Those employees whose functions are interaction with state officials will be based in Astana.

The main part of NCOC employees will start to move to Atyrau this fall. These are the management people and technical experts.

Inadverted shutdown of oil production, as well as expenses related to full replacement of pipeline activities forced the consortium management to such sharp optimization.
