15 trl tenge invested in Astana over 16 years – Mayor

Almost 15 trillion tenge were invested in Astana over 16 years, said Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov during the Vth International Investment Forum held within the Astana Economic Forum, ca-news.org reports Wednesday.

Over this time period the population of the capital has increased almost 3-fold, Astana's GDP increased 6-fold, and investments increased 28-fold, said Tasmagambetov.

11 agreements worth $500 million will be signed at the V International Investment Forum Astana Invest 2014, Tasmagambetov said.

"The capital of Kazakhstan has created the most attractive conditions for investing activities," Kazinfrom cites the mayor.
