Kazakhstan, Qatar ink bilateral documents in Astana

Visit of Emir of the State of Qatar to Kazakhstan in 2014, January 19 Kazakhstan and Qatar signed a number of bilateral documents on Jan 19 during the official visit of Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to Astana, kazinform correspondent reports.

The Convention for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of the State of Qatar and corresponding Protocol, the Cooperation Agreement between "NC "Tau Ken Samruk" JSC and Qatar Mining Company QSC, the Memorandum on Mutual Understanding between "Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund" JSC and the Qatar Investment Authority were signed.

Investment and commercial and economic spheres are to play the key role in the Kazakhstani-Qatari partnership, according to President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"I would like to congratulate you on your first official visit to Kazakhstan. I am confident this visit will give a new impulse to the development of cooperation between the two countries," the Kazakh leader noted.
